No sound on Sharp Aquos 37′ LC-37D4U

try this as a first step….

First – The usual disclaimer about all at your own risk.
Second – You MUST disconnect the TV from its wall socket and leave it all day (at least 12Hrs) to ensure the power supply is discharged – Safety First.
Third – A major rule of all repair says DO NOT play with or disconnect parts that are working. “If it aint broke don’t fix it”

1. Download the service manual…

2. Ensure you are working in a static free environment – use an antistatic wrist strap attached to the chassis metalwork or you will do more harm than good, you can even kill you TV completely.

3.Follow page 14&15 to remove back cover.

4. Refer to page 56, then re-seat all the connectors attached to the AV unit by partially unplugging them and re-inserting them. Make sure they are re-seated firmly. Do not force anything.

5. Put the back cover on and try see if the problem is fixed, if your lucky the problem is solved.

6, Try gently manipulating the cables around the AV card, sometimes it a simple broken wire. Look up wiring part numbers on page 56 of the manual if you need buy new ones. Parts can be bought here http://www.partstore.com

7. If not then the whole AV card probably needs to be replaced.

All the parts are listed starting on page 100 of the service manual. Manual says AV card for LC-37D4U is part # DUNTKD352DE19
